It’s no secret both Sheldon and I are fans of the Rapha films… Though sometimes chided for their ‘epic’ use of grainy black and white imagery, you can’t dispute the quality and care that goes into their garments (so I’m told), or their films.
This film is no different, but what I really enjoyed was how the storytelling of Malcolm Powell was woven into the chronicling of the ride. It gave the whole thing a little more depth in my opinion.
There’s a great writeup of the ride itself and well as a little bit more history on CyclingTips.
On a tech note… It’s pretty rad that a film of this quality was shot on a Canon 7D, and almost entirely with one lens (24-105 IS USM).
