I'm sad that I missed it – Looked like a stellar event!! A lot of big names out there too.

Looking through the results I noticed a few things:

I missed Emily Batty taking 1st in the Elite Women category... She's my favorite little mtb cutie, so that made me sad ;-)

A podium sweep by Hardcore in the Expert category is pretty impressive, that's gotta feel good for them!

There was a massive Novice Men turnout – Nice to see

A lot of DNFs in the Sport Men (9 out of 30)

There was a decent Novice Women turnout, but sadly there were a lot of DNS's. It's nice to see Mtb racing gaining a little more traction with the women, but it would be nice to have a more robust turnout.

Hey Paulo! There sure would be a lot of better racers to watch than me, but I'll take all the cheering section I can get! :-)

Cheers!

Sounds like it was a perfect event. Hope you are in it next year. mmm ... perhaps if I combine a climbing trip to Banff I could watch you compete as a total exciting package. I'll be working on that.
