But failing that, I'd opt for the heavier rock, metal, or even punk. "God Forbid" and "Propagandhi" seem to be doing it for me these days. I think about scenes from movies like Rocky and try to picture myself in those kind of moments, so for me it's music like Eye of the Tiger or Final Countdown. Especially when I get to a point where I think I can't go any further, I play one of these songs and it totally pushes me to keep going. Plus, I also like the techno kinda spin class music too, but I agree it can be kinda wearing after a while. One thing that I find helps when I'm trying to maintain a certain cadence is finding songs that are to the beat of that cadence so I can just spin to the beat of the song rather than focusing on my computer... It helps the time go by faster doing it that way.
