Ahh yes I imagine the mtb vs road would make a difference.

I'm eager for some testing for the same reason, to uncover stroke efficiency (or inefficiency) and not so much for the numbers. That being said I'm always curious. So I do hope you post the numbers as a comparison in May (how's that for a challenge?).

You can't go wrong with Kevin Masters. Maybe I'll book one of those tests before I hit the road.

Thanks!

Haha...

Hey Jordan, good question about body position. We didn't really get into that. My goal when I went in was to get the fitness data, and so the pedal stroke analysis was more of a bonus. Now having seen the value of that knowledge though, I'd like to see how well my mtb bike fits me, as far as pedal stroke, and efficiency goes. Of course on a mtb bike there are other factors to consider given the terrain, as opposed to a road ride. I'm going to look into that though when I am back in there in May.

As for my peak and sustained watts, I was near 600 peak and around 425 avg - just kidding haha... No, to be honest, but without completely exposing my personal data, I was in the low Cat 5 area if measuring watts per kilo. I'm not a racer, so I wasn't shocked to see the stats after the test, but I hope to make some strident improvements. Maybe in May I won't be quite so bashful about the numbers. It will be a good goal to be able to proudly post them up.

Have you done any testing before?

Did you discuss tweaking position at all to get better pedal stroke or was it all inefficiency and not at all about position?

And what were your peak and sustained watts? You can't leave that out?
